Question by Table Dance: If the Feds weren’t doing their job in Arizona, would they have all these news releases?
Some people in Arizona like to say that the Feds are not doing their job, especially Arizona’s own Governor Jan Brewer, but if they weren’t, would they have all the news releases on this page? What say you? and what would Jan Brewer have to say here?

Question by Michelle: What happens when a patient tells their counselor they did something illegal, like having used illicit drugs?
Do counselors or other mental health professionals have to keep EVERYTHING you say confidential? Are their exceptions to this? Assuming the patient is an adult and the focus of their mental health treatment is not drug related. Could their counselor/Psychiatrist/etc report them to the police? Testify in court? Would this be recorded in their medical record? If they are currently being prescribed potentially addictive medications and admitted to occasional use of street drugs would they be forced to stop taking these medications? Thanks!

**update* * I understand the legal part better but is this bad to have on my medical records. If everything is supposed to be kept confidential, but when seeing a new Dr. they make me sign that release to see prior treatment information from other drs. I understand concerns about coordination of care and interactions, etc. My new Dr. refused to fill 2 of my (potentially addictive) meds. She quoted my medical record, my ex told (incorrect) info to a previous Dr. Help!

Wow that’s some good paranoia. The counselor is there to help, not play crime fighter plus the “crimes” committed with drug use are too non specific. Its the same reason that cops need to have drug busts with lots of evidence. Was it weed?

My husband was admitted to a rehab facility 60 miles away from me on Friday after walking to his unioon representative and telling them he had a problem. I had no idea but he had been taking xanax that was prescribed by a doctor since august, was taking them before that by getting them off the streets and has been on prescription pain killers (i knew that) for about a year but he runs out about 2 weeks early and gets them off the street. He has had an emtional relationship with another woman for the last 2 months through text messaging… all kinds of stuff is coming out now that he is there. I am going to an al-anon meeting locally on thursday but am having a really hard time finding support for people with family members who are abusing narcotic prescription drugs. Does anyone know of any online resources?? I live in Indiana…

we have a 2.5 year old and she asks me every night to send her daddy in there to tell her good night. THis is so hard… I am lost and dont know what to do. Our christmas tree is up in the attic so someone is supposed to be coming over to get it down but its going to be hard putting it up without him. Thats his favorite part… He will be gone for a month

I started hanging out with this girl,who was a lesbian that i used to know and hung out together every evening ,then she spent the night a few times and we slept together”no sex causual petting though” .We would call each other every morning to tell each other good morning and have a great day,then after work we would talk then we would spend the evening doin what ever,having fun walking in the park ect. ect. then i fell in love ive told her my dark secrets and in turn some of her secrets I could tell her anything. I really miss her ! Shes locked up at this moment looking at prison maybe 3-5 for felony forgery.She got caught up with the wrong crowd an ex of mine who was strung out on meth and crack and i had just got the ex out of rehab 2 months ago. then everything went to hell!

I do and it’s called Trichotillomania http://www.trich.org/. It’s like an extremely hard addiction that I almost can’t control. I catch myself doing it without realizing it at times. Do you know anyone that has this rare disorder?
Fortunately I am still left with my eyelashes…however if I do it long enough my eye lid will get irritated…see I push the hairs in instead of pulling them out.

I am aware of the Hippa laws and regulations. I know someone who is addicted to pain killers. They have been for around 6 years. Their life has spiraled in an out of control, downward motion. This person has two children who they can’t take care of because of the situation. They always go into mood swings and fits of rage, especially when they can’t get any medicine. They were admitted into the hospital, and treated for depression, and have been there for 4 days. Is there any way that anyone knows of that I may be able to talk to the Dr’s and let them know that 4 days is not long enough to treat her addiction “without the Dr’s being able to tell her what was said.” Maybe then, they would look farther and help her more. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. I have agonized over what to do, and I just don’t know what the right thing is.

The Breakfasts is bustin’ ! I stays away from the fries but the nuggets with honey mustard sauce and all their desserts is bustin! (apple pie,cherry pie, $1 sundae,3 cookies for $1,AND even shakes!)
Big macs is really tasty and you can get a double cheese for $1.20 or a double cheese burger for the poor which is $1 even) Angus burgers is really really Really tasty! and Nobody elses fish sandwiches tastes like Micky D’s
All their food tastes so good,…I find it hard to believe that its actually *bad* for your health
