This is a metaphorical illustration of how heroin abuse affects the abuser’s loved ones. For all who are suffering, remember: change is possible. www.heroindetoxrehab.com

I use to work with drug addicts and alcoholics, and one of the hardest thing I ever had to do, was put someone out of the program because they went back to using.
And these guys, I have given them many of breaks before letting them know they had to go.
I would try to find a hospital or a rehab clinic that would work with these guys. But I would never ever leave them without trying to help.

We all have a addiction, whether it be drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, sex, homosexuality, gambling, lying, adultery, stealing, one who is always being sarcasm, or even pornography. It’s an addiction (sin) that we should not be so fast to judge and condemn people for.

It’s so easy to tell someone, hey if you don’t repent you are going to hell for your sins. But let’s be honest, Jesus never said that. Like he told the man he told at the well to pick up your bed and walk, than later when he saw the man, he said Go and sin no more or something worse may happen. But he never told the man that he was going to hell if he continue to sin.
The only time Jesus actually talked about hell in the way of people, was when he was asking a question.
Matthew 23:33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?
In the twelve years that I have been out here with the people. I have never threaten anyone about going to hell. I guess because with me, I did some dirt in my life time that I thank God I had changed from. But it took time for me to change and it didn’t happen over night. So I know if it took time for me to change, It will take time for others to change as well. If we really want that change, we will change, but it does take time. God knows if someone wants to change or not. You may fool people, but we can’t fool God at all.
Yes people need to know about hell, but not in a way to say, this is where you will be going if you don’t do this and if you don’t that NOW.

And the one thing that Jesus never did was call everyone a sinner. He saw two side of the coin. Not just one. I believe if Jesus would have called the people he came for sinners and threaten them with hell’s fire if they didn’t repent, they would have never followed him. I know I wouldn’t have.

i am obsessed with this girl and today my friend recommended that i find another obsession or addiction to keep my mind off of it. i asked if he had any ideas and he said he used to have an addiction to something so i asked and he said he wont tell me. i dont want to know because i want to try it now, i just want to know what he is hiding that could be THAT BAD. and i already know he has slit his wrists a couple of times and he wasnt referring to that he said. i tried to get the answer out of him guessing the typical teenage addictions like sex/drugs/alcohol/painkillers and he said its legal and its not painkillers…i just wanna know because were rly tight and usually (btw were not gay or bi or wutev just rly good friends)we have some deeeeeep conversations and now hes hiding secrets…have any ideas? and dont post saying that i shouldnt know if he doesnt want me to i just want to hear wut u think it is. even if its rly wacky like shocking urself; put it up!plz! – concerned friend
i guessed every orientation, and rape…i doubt masturbation but i ask about porn. any more?

If you have been diagnosed with an anxiety disorder, and also have great difficulty sleeping … do you think the meds cause more damage to your body, or do you think by not taking the meds to reduce anxiety and help your body sleep, that the stress would cause more harm to the body in the long run?

Does it make more sense to get a good night’s sleep and feel healthy, rather than irritable and unable to concentrate?

Aside from the dangers of addiction to meds of course, what do you think is more healthy? With or without meds?

Look at this:
Writing in the journal Pediatrics, the CDC team said they analyzed data from 15,214 high-school students (aged 14 to 18) who completed the 2003 Youth Risk Behavior Survey.

They found that 45 percent of the students admitted having drunk alcohol in the past month. Of these, 64 percent were binge-drinkers.

And the binge drinkers were not simply experimenting — 69 percent reported having done so more than once in the past 30 days.

Teen drinkers in general were more than twice as likely to be sexually active as non-drinkers, the researchers found.
here is one of the sources:http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20070102/hl_nm/teens_drinking_dc

So why wast time (and our tax money) arresting them and hiding marijuana from them, when we have a drug that is hurting some of the teens who abuse it?

I sense a lack of parenting. People are so close minded nowadays.

I have 18 months, he has three years. He was a drug addict as well (me, too–speed, but primary alcohol). In the beginning, we talked all the time about our program, our meetings, sponsors, Higher Power, etc. It has been five months that we have been seeing each other. He is also working nights, and going to school part time. I have noticed that he goes to a meeting a week, and is pretty cynical about the “sappy” people in AA, who “hide in the program.” I am one of the sappy ones…AA saved my life.
