Ok I’m 14 and have been going out with my first Boyfriend, who is also 14, since about March 2008. I’m Hispanic and he’s African American. I love him VERY much. We always talk on the phone ’till 1am even on school days. He has always been very quiet and looks very depressed sometimes. I always ask if he’s alright, and he always says ‘yea’, so I never really thought anything of it. But one night while talking on the phone with me, he just opened up to me that his Older Brother, Mom, and Dad do drugs. I was so shocked that I began tearing up, I tried to be strong but I could hear his quiver and then he began to cry and so I did the only thing I could think of; and cried on the phone with him. Every time I tried to calm down, more tears would come. We cried there for a good 20 minutes and in the middle of crying he told me that he wouldn’t know what to do without me and that he loved me and I told him the same. Once we finally calmed down he told me to promise never to tell anyone at all what he told me, and I did. But now I need help, I keep telling him to tell someone so they can help but he says he’s scared what will happen to them. I really don’t want to bring it up because I’m scared of seeing him like that again. I’ve been trying to go on the internet and search about going to rehab vs. going to jail but I still kind of confused on what the rules in Georgia are like for drug addicts. If anyone has any help to offer, PLEASE tell me. And Thank You for taking the time to read this.
I’m sorry, I know I must sound really stupid and overreacting. But this is the first time that anything like this (involving drugs) has happened before and I was tired of holding it in. So I’ll try to calm down a bit. Oh, and Thank You to everyone who answered back! They are helping me see how retarded I sounded and calmed me down so I can figure all this out. THANKS AGAIN!!

I am doing an essay on this and just trying to get allot of different procpectives on this so if you could please say your honest opotions and everything about this I would greatly appericate it.
For instance: My little nefew saw me and my friends smoking it once when I was younger and without me or our parents finding out he started doing it as well. We didnt know he was doing it till he was 16 and by then he was so addicated to it that he could not even live a normal life. He refused rehab and everything and nothing anyone tried perfosinals or other could not get him away from it. Last year he died from over dose on Pills and he is greatly missed I wish so much he would have never seen me doing it. I no longer do it and am grealy against it.

I some marijuana every now and then. My parents believe that i don’t anymore. I normally sit on my back porch,smoke, and just listen to calming music. I want to tell them that i do this, but i fear that they will overreact and do something rash like send me to private school, or rehab…I am not addicted (its impossible to become addicted) and i could quit if i wanted to, but i really allows me to relax. When im high i dont have to worry about anything.
I want to not have to do this in secret, when my parents leave. I’m not a kid who does it to be cool or fit in. I do it by myself or with a really close friend.
Am i wrong for smoking?
Should i tell my parents? (there pretty harsh)
Any advice on anything..?(life,what to do, etc.)

Writing in the journal Pediatrics, the CDC team said they analyzed data from 15,214 high-school students (aged 14 to 18) who completed the 2003 Youth Risk Behavior Survey.
They found that 45 percent of the students admitted having drunk alcohol in the past month. Of these, 64 percent were binge-drinkers.
And the binge drinkers were not simply experimenting — 69 percent reported having done so more than once in the past 30 days.
Teen drinkers in general were more than twice as likely to be sexually active as non-drinkers, the researchers found.

So why wast time (and our tax money) arresting them and hiding marijuana from them, when we have a drug that is hurting some of the teens who abuse it?
I sense a lack of parenting. People are so close minded nowadays.
