Question by brianna n: We’re in Caldwell, New Jersey and need to find low-cost drug rehab programs. How?
We’re really strapped for cash. My husband got fired from his job because they discovered that he’s using heroin. My income alone will not be enough to get him into a drug rehab. One of my three sons is already working, but he’s already got his own family to feed so I really can’t ask for too much. We have no relatives nearby and I don’t know anyone whom I could turn to for financial assistance. Can anybody give me ideas on how I can put my husband through drug rehab? And please don’t say I need to get a part-time job, because I’m already doing that every spare time I’ve got.

Perhaps your husband can get an outpatient methadone prescription which you will have to keep out of the hands of your three children.

Check to see if it will show up on drug tests. This will buy some time for your husband. He can get a job and save the money for rehab. If he doesn’t want to get a second part-time job, he can maintain the house while you work nights. See if there is a job in your field that will pay more money.

Also see if your other two children can get jobs. They should put their cash in the bank rather than bring it home.

Question by abigail s.: I want to find an alcohol rehab in Wyckoff, New Jersey but I don’t know how. Can anyone help me with this?
I just really want to help an old friend of mine. We’ve been friends since childhood and I didn’t anticipate that it would end up like this– that she would someday (which is now) be an alcoholic. We have always looked out for each other, and she has always been kind of like a big sister to me. So now it’s my turn to be like a big sister to her by helping her find an alcohol rehab for herself. How will I do this?

Answer by annaliese s
A good thing to do would be to take her to a doctor. The doctor will be able to assess her situation as well as tell you of the treatment programs and alcohol rehab that you should take her to. You can also check out the links below that I have provided. These contain lists of the alcohol rehabs in the area you have specified. I really hope that your friend gets well soon. It’s always tough to see a loved one suffering from the effects of alcohol addiction. Good luck.

Question by aubrie c: How will I find a low-cost alcohol rehab in Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey?
My best friend is a self-confessed alcohol dependent for over two years now. He really wants to change for the better and we both agreed that he should enter a rehab center. The catch is that he doesn’t have the money and so do I. Does anyone know of an affordable one?

Question by aisling tu: My sister lives in Blackwood, New Jersey, and I need to find an alcohol rehab for her. How will I do this?
I live far away from her, and what’s worse is that I did not even know she had a problem with her alcohol consumption until her bestfriend called me on the phone to ask for my help. My sister and I are really close, but she deliberately kept her addiction from me. I have already talked to her and I think she’s now willing to get herself treated. Plese tell me how I can find an alcohol rehab in her vicinity.

You can ask your sister’s best friend to take her to a hospital. That way, she will be getting recommendations and suggestions from the professionals themselves. You can also check out the links that I have included below, or look through the yellow pages. I really hope your sister gets well soon.

Question by athziri cc: How will I find alcohol rehab centers in Iselin, New Jersey?
For the past few months, I noticed that my son always went home late. I would usually wake up in the middle of the night to check on him, only to find out that he was not on his bed yet. Before I’d go to the office, I’d also go to his room to say goodbye but he would still be asleep. Since I was frequently busy, I hardly find time to talk to him. Just recently, I’ve learned that he is has become addicted to alcohol. My son is just 16 years old, I need to bring him to the rehab.

Question by biridiana d: How will I find a low-cost alcohol rehab in Roseland, New Jersey?
My brother has just gotten fired from his job because of his alcoholism. He wants to get himself rehabilitated now but he doesn’t have enough money. I really want to help him, if only by finding an alcohol rehab which he can afford.

Answer by anjali de *
Well, a good thing to do would be to apply for a grant from the government. The first link below will give you more information about that. The second link will help you in finding rehabs. Ask if they will allow your brother to get a discount and try to find out which ones have lower rates. He can also join AA. It would really help and it’s free.
