Question by blueshroom: Where and what is the best Drug Rehab center?
Looking for a drug rehab center for 19 y/o who is abusing opiates.
We are in South Jersey. We’ve tried, individual psychotherapy, Intensive outpt.

I’m not sure if they want treatment because they want to get well or because they have no choice…..

In any particular state? Private treatment? Long-term?

You can do an internet search for drug rehabilitation, and it will give you a choice for your state. When you get down to a few options, then maybe others can help you pick the best of the bunch. You should know going in though, that if the 19 y/o doesn’t want to be in treatment, it most likely isn’t going to take, so try not to go the expensive, private route for the first treatment center. Drug rehabs are sadly not for people who need them. They are for people who want them. Same goes for NA Meetings.

You don’t have to worry too much. Finding one is relatively easy. Since your friend is willing to enter a drug rehab, I think the best way you can do is to click on the links below. You will find useful information regarding your friend’s problem. The second link, in particular, will lead to a drug rehab located in your place. Good luck!

Question by bayley n_n: What is the best drug rehab institution in Beaver Falls, PA?
My father has been using meth for years now. My mom divorced him because of his addiction. I swear, my dad is a good father and the only problem that I can see in him is his substance abuse. I know he loves us dearly but he can’t improve his condition all by himself. I hope you can help me locate the best drug rehab here in our place. Thank you.

Best answer:

Answer by Niki
Many times rehab is more effective for people if they get out of their hometowns, preferably far enough away to not be in contact with the people they are doing drugs with or getting drugs from.

With that in mind, there is a VERY good treatment center in Beaver Falls. It is called Gateway Beaver Falls and I have heard that it is very good. Here’s their contact information:

I wish you and your family the best of luck, and hope that your father can find himself again.

Question by Mary From Wyoming: what is the BEST drug rehabilitation clinic for my husband to go to?
My husband has been struggling with a drug problem for about 2 years. He was addicted to cocaine and eventually starting mixing it with Heroine. Now he is Finally ready for help but he wants to keep it confidential and he is looking for an alternative to 12 step programs and an alternative to narconon. We are atheists and would prefer a NON religious drug treatment center. can anyone tell us where to get more information about this?

Thank you for your time.

Best answer:

Answer by ***Invisible Pink Unicorn***
Good luck finding a rehab that isn’t 12 step based!

I’m an atheist in recovery as well!

I use the N/A program without the whole “god” thing!

Think of “god” as good orderly direction!

That’s what I did/do and have managed to stay clean and sober for almost 4yrs now!

Email me if you like!

No matter what you decide good luck to you both! Its not an easy road to tackle at first but with time and a clear mind its an amazing journey! Continued support is necessary to make it – you don’t just do 28 days rehab and assume all is well!

Edit: Merlin Bravo! Had no clue too bad its in Malibu!

Question by lolsen: what is the best for nerve regeneration/healing pain as far as pain killers/narcotics go?
I received a major laceration accross my palm while being attacked in the downtown area of Victoria, BC. All nerves, tendons, muscles and arteries were severed to the bone. Surgery was 4.5 hours and the recovery has proven extremely painfull. I am taking antibiotics, blood thinners and percocet. Sometimes the percocet is not enough. I have quite a bit of swelling and pain resulting. However I have some extremely painfull sensations of needles and electric shock throughout my hand and fingers. Any suggestions for medication directed toward nerve regeneration?

Best answer:

Answer by LaurenElyse
How awful. I’m sorry you had that happen to you. I have had many surgeries on my back. Therefore I know about pain medications. Pain Medications, for trauma such as yours, will not take away all of your pain. They will take the edge off. You need to ask your Doctor to send you to see a Pain Management Physician. They specialize in dealing with patients that have long term pain. Good Luck to you.

I really can’t tell which one is the best drug rehab in New Jersey but if you could just specify the city you live in it might be a great help. Anyway, I’ve added a link to a list of drug rehabs in New Jersey. I hope it will help you decide. Good luck to your husband’s full recovery.
