life may be just grand for you know but when you enter the “real world” your new found expenses will gladly help you get over your spending problem.

it will come down to new shoes or pay the electricity bill.
credit cards will only make you have bad credit & stressed out.

so while that new pair of shoes would surely complement your new dress , it isnt worth aging pre-mature from stress of not having enough groceries to last the end of the week.

My sister seems to have this same problem, and let me tell you kids, bills and a husband have not straightened her out. I think your boyfriend was right about the card. It’s too easy to spend money. If I were you, I would cash your paycheck and split it into four envelopes for the month. You can even deduct what you would like to save, and deposit it in the bank. Now you just have to try to force yourself to only spend one envelope’s worth of money a week, and scrounge up enough pride not to borrow money from your mom. If you blow your week’s money on clothes at the beginning, then you’ll just have to live poor for the rest of the week. Eventually you’ll learn to moderate your spending because you’ll still need fast food :) and gas :).

Never buy anything with the card. You will feel the hurt a lot more if you are forking over cold hard cash. I would totally ditch the card if you can, since you obviously have a habit of spending with it. Even people who are good with money can lose track of the nickles and dimes with a card and spend more than they meant to.

when i was a kid i spend all my money on crap.. and sometimes i still go out and waist a lot of money and stuff i dont really want i gues im a spontanious buyer.. i usually end up selling stuff all the time cus i bought a bunch of crap… and that is a big waist of money…

as i got older i realized i dont need it.. and how long i actually had to work to pay for something.. now i barley have any thing..

a guitar, computer, stereo, cloaths and 2 guns.. and that is about all i own.. im happy.. when i moved out of state i was able to put every thing i had in the extended cab of my pick up truck and go.. i now realize the less crap you have the better off you are..

if i ever buy a house ill start buying nice stuff again.. i would have thousands and thousands of dolars in the bank if i would not have bought all that stuff.. most of it was stereo and music equipments.. and when something better came out.. i would sell what i had at a loos and buy the new better thing that came out…

jsut start looking at the way things are and how bad the economy is and ask your self do i really want to spend my hard earned mony on this.. and ask do i really need it and how much will i actually use this if i get it..
