Maybe consider sharing your problem with someone you trust. It is perhaps the best thing. It is good for you to have some kind of accountability. It doesn't necessarily need to be your parents. But think about it, it maybe a wise thing to do.
What happen if you have some kind of reaction, and no one knows what you have been doing. Just think of the possible consequences, so be careful.
But still, I would suggest for you to cut the dose down by one pill so if you usually take three, then take two for two nights, then cut it down to one for a couple of nights, then try a night without it.

On the night without, consider a natural alternative to help sleep. There are some good herbal alternatives, without side effects and are not addictive. You can get hold of them in most pharmacies.

Valerian root

Then there is a homeopathic medicine for insomnia. It is made by Hylands, It is called "Hyland's Insomnia" and it is available on line or in some pharmacies. It is all natural.
There is also "Hylands Calms Forte" You dissolve this little tablets under the tongue half an hour before bedtime. Follow directions though.

You could try drinking chamomile tea. Very long history of helping people to have restful sleep.

Try gentle relaxation techniques. Lay in bed, and starting from the top of your head, begin to clench muscles hold for 3 seconds and then release, and work from one muscle to the next, neck, shoulders, arms, and so on. Just squeezing and then releasing, breathing evenly at the same time, working all the body muscles and parts until you reach your toes,

Mouthwash has a similar taste to Nyquil. Rinse your mouth with it and you could trick your brain into thinking you took the Nyquil.

Other than that you are just going to have to go through the withdrawals until your body's natural rhythm is restored.

If this isn't cleared up in a week or so talk to your parents about your sleeping problem.

Quit using the medicine. You will be uncomfortable for a couple of days, but you will eventually get tired enough to sleep without it and won't miss it. Continuing to use it will make it more difficult when you eventually figure this out...or worse.

Maybe you should tell your parents.. they could lock the pills somewhere, and your body would soon get used to not having this medicine, try reading, or listening to music before bed? might help.
