(b) provide drug dounseling instead of jail time for some abusers
(c) Rehink criminal penalties for pot.
(d) Ban profiling by federal law enforcement, even if it helps catch violent criminals including terrorists.
(e) Strengthen hate-crime laws and beef up civil rights enforcement against police chiefs who profile.
(f) Provide job training, drug rehab and counseling for ex cons.
“Re-dnfranchise” felons denied the right to vote
In addition he vows to repeal the Patriot Act.

I see nothing bad here. A couple are questionable, but I doubt they are a bad as you are presenting them.

For example: (f)
If you provide job training and rehab for ex cons they are less likely to commit a crime in the future. The more rehabilitation of non violent criminals you do, the less crime you have. Did you know that Sweden doesn’t put any non-violent criminal in jail. They have one of the world’s best criminal retraining programs in the world. The criminals commit no less or more crimes than happens in surrounding countries and it costs them far less than the US would spend putting them in prison for the same offense.

I like all of them, even though your summaries don’t quite do them justice. When I researched Obama, I reviewed each piece of legislation separately, entirely, and in detail. They all seem to promote second chances, convey positivity, and show an actual concern for the people. It is consistent with his present platform, which shows honesty, which is why I will be voting for him if he is chosen to run against McCain. If Ron Paul was still in it, it would definitely be a tougher choice. LOL
