try and figure out what he’s interested in. he is obviously looking for somehting more if hes watching porn. maybe you should get him alone some night and put on some sexy lingeri have him come over call him into ur room and have candles lit all over and just throw him down on the bed and give him a nice tease then work him over to the point where he says wtf got into you i like it! then keep it going try new things like screwing in public places where u might get caught or on the football field or dugouts anything to add a little extra excitement……..

you could use a little subterfuge. ask him if wants to see a naughty film. watch it with him. maybe get a little busy. ask him what guys (ya, generalize so he doesnt think its about him) like about these movies. how often he watches them (in a casual kinda way) and why.

maybe he just has an overactive libido or he likes to fantacize. maybe you can draw his attention more to you then to the porn…

ok i just read your additional details and it is kinda worrysome. i’d still try to do what i said and casually get to it in stead of straight confontation. you been with him long enough to know what kind of wording is best. if all else fails ask a psychiatrist or something. but as long as he doest commit any crimes i dont see a problem…

If it really is an addiction, defined by weather or not it is hurting his ability to function in the world, then you need to confront him. Find someone he trusts and persuade him or her of your fears. Then confront him together.

I’m not a guy so I can’t give you a guy’s POV.

But I do not understand exactly what the problem is. He can’t possibly be “watching porn literally constantly all day long.” I mean, does he work? Spend time with you? Family, friends? Do other things?

I don’t think you need to be concerned unless this is keeping him from doing anything except sit at his computer.

Men think about sex pretty much constantly–it is normal. My husband looks at porn and it isn’t a problem. These websites have millions of pictures and just a few minutes of clicking will show tons of entries in his history. So I think you might be worried over nothing. As long as he isn’t looking at kiddie porn or something else abusive then I don’t see the harm.

Now at my house, World Of Warcraft is the huge problem. He spends hours playing and more hours thinking about playing. In fact, Warcraft has cut into his porn time!

in all honesty..with the internet, this is every teen boy. i doubt its an addiction but it could be. my boyfriend in highschool did this an it really hurt that he would rather watch porn than be with me… so i totally know how you feel. you should tell him a “Story” of a “friend” who’s boyfriend would rather watch porn than hang out or be with her (sexually and non sexually) and tell him how much it hurt your friend that the boyfriend had to hide it from her. and how much it hurt to know that the boyfriend would rather watch fake girl with fake body parts than be with a real girl that really cares for him. …… but don’t be sneaky don’t lock his computer, it is his life and if he chooses porn over you..thats his choice he will realize what a mistake it was later (like mine did) and maybe fate will bring you back together! good luck

I had a boyfriend that used to do the same thing. He would watch late at night before coming to bed. He had problems getting it up due to health related issues. I just let him do it.

As far as confronting him, don’t. That never works, he ends up feeling like crap, and so do you.

What you can do is get one, and tell him you want to watch a movie together. Then before you’re ready to go to bed for the night, pop it in. He’ll probably drop the porn and pay more attention to you. Also, that way, you’ve told him that you don’t mind it so much, but you’d rather be a part of it too. Try making your own video for the two of you. Take the focus off other people doing it and put it on the two of you doing it. Make the issue a non-issue.

I am now with a guy who will sit and watch porn with me and we’ll critique it! It’s fun.

I am going to be very honest with you. Clearly this is a relationship that is NOT going to work unless the two of you work on building TRUST.

If you are unable to do that, then it is time to move onward to a better fitted relationship. Immediately placing blame on past misdeeds to sidetrack from the original discussion is immature and not handling the problem that is currently on the table. The past problems should have been resolved so both can grow from the past mistakes experience and have created a COMPROMISED solution. Obviously, both parties have failed in getting that accomplished. If another party is unwilling and it is chronic, then they are not for you. It is as simplistic as that.

Think about the following and see if ALL 3 apply to your relationship as you need ALL 3 to have any success.

RELATIONSHIP 101

1. Mutual TRUST – without it is constant doubt
2. Mutual RESPECT – without it is eventual resentment
3. Mutual COMPROMISE – without it is a relationship that develops as one-sided with self sacrifice.

Strong relationships begin with good friendship, but not ALL friendships make good intimate relationships. Friends and family should complement, elevate, and enrich your life without dragging you down. All others shoudl be in the categories of acquaintances (you know the limitations of the relationship) or enemy.

I would think instead of bringing up his porn issues which obviously bothers you, that there is more going on than just porn based on what you described as your past history together along with the disagreements. I don’t think this is just the ONE problem to solve but a series of many past ones along with this one. Basically, how worth it is it to you to carry on in this manner?

Based on your addition, have you thought of it this way? He’s intimidated by your sexual willingness to try different positions and openess. He may be watching to simply determine how best he could approach. Som people use it as an “educational” tool to get ideas on how to spice thing up intimately. sometimes more inexperience people, especially males, find it harder to admit they are not as savvy in the sexual arena as they have hoped.

EDIT ADD:

Approach him this way. Don’t. Just simply state, “I love what we have between us. Sex is great. You don’t have to be like those porn guys with me. Only try what youa re comfortable in trying and you let me know when you want to do something different.”

This way you may be reassuring him his sexual masculinity. If you feel the sex inflexibility is too hard for you to be happy, then find a more mutual partner.
