This boy has told me his miserable life story.

His father is alcoholism. His family can’t stop the father of drinking bcuz they are afraid of telling him to do so.. however, they tried to stop him and hide the bottles but the result was awful.

the father had many accidents that he was about to die!! and his family are suffering his aggressiveness when he is drunk. please help him to get a solution to force or convince his father to stop drinking. thanks

No one can force an alcoholic to stop – they have to want to do it themselves; it’s just like any other drug. What you can try is to make a video of the father when he is plastered, then play it for him when he is sober – sometimes this will “wake up” an alcoholic

You cannot force someone to stop drinking – they must reach that decision on their own. Your friend’s best bet is to find a support group for family of alcoholics. They will be able to help him and his family learn how to cope with living with an alcoholic. There are meetings worldwide, but mostly in the U.S. You can check the phone book for Al-Anon or Alateen, or call 1-888-4AL-ANON (1-888-425-2666) Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 6:00pm ET.

There are chemical dependency units in hospitals, and AA that can help him, but ultimately it is up to the alcoholic to seek help in order to successfully overcome the habit. My father is an alcoholic and my mom gave him an ultimatum, either get sober or she would leave, and this was the motivation he needed to WANT to get help. Sometimes there needs to be a kick in the butt, but since he seems violent they should really call a professional interventionist.

His family should threaten to call social services. If his son is in a bad environment, social services will find him a better home. This can even be with an aunt or uncle. If he thinks he’s losing his son, he might rethink things

Sad truth is no one can make a person stop drinking – sometime the best solution is to be sure your not a facilitator – lending money, making excuses for them or in any way making there life easier to be an alcoholic.

Take him to the doctor and get him benzos.

get him addicted to marijuana now i know that’s a drug but its healthier, cheaper and it will just calm him down and make him POSITIVE ABOUT LIFE.
